Brother Pi kept wearing his medal and wouldn't even take it off to sleep. Shen Luo didn't know what to say about that. But thinking about how hard Brother Pi had worked today—and how much glory he'd brought—he didn't bother forcing him to take it off.

Once everything was done, Shen Luo still drove the little van to take Xiao Chuan home. Xiao Chuan hadn't said anything about staying in a hotel, so Shen Luo just went with it.

"You're tired too today. I'll drive," Xiao Chuan said, seeing how Shen Luo looked like his bones were about to fall apart—he could tell the guy was exhausted.

Shen Luo agreed that driving tired wasn't a good idea, so he didn't argue. He got in the passenger seat, leaned back, and started dozing off.

It felt like he'd just fallen asleep when they were already home. Shen Luo opened his eyes, a bit dazed as he looked around, then pushed the door open and got out.

The cool night breeze woke him up a little more. Just as he walked to the door, he remembered something. "I think your bed was broken."

Xiao Chuan nodded. "Yeah."

"So tonight..."

"If you don't mind, I'll just sleep with you," Xiao Chuan said first.

Shen Luo let out a sigh of relief. If he'd had to say it himself, he really would've felt kinda awkward.

"Alright, I'll go change the sheets. You clean up your bed."

After switching out the sheets and tossing the dirty ones into the washing machine, Shen Luo headed to Xiao Chuan's room and found that the bed really was snapped clean in half. No way it could be fixed.

A bed costs a few thousand yuan, Shen Luo thought, already feeling the pain in his wallet.

The two of them worked together to move the bed out, leaving the room empty.

Xiao Chuan looked a little embarrassed and said, "I'll buy you a new bed."

Shen Luo felt like that sentence sounded a little weird, but he didn't overthink it. He said, "Yeah, I do need to buy a bed, but I won't have time the next couple days. Maybe after that. If you... if you're not used to it, you can stay at a hotel for now."
He'd originally wanted to say if you don't want to sleep with me, but that sounded way off, so he quickly changed his words.

Xiao Chuan said, "It's fine, I can ask my secretary to buy one."

"No way!" Shen Luo shot it down without even thinking.
His place was such a dump—Xiao Chuan didn't mind, but if the guy's secretary or driver came and saw it, who knew what they'd think? Maybe they'd assume he was trying to cozy up to some rich guy or something.
He really didn't want people looking down on him. Even if he didn't have money, he still had his pride.

Xiao Chuan smiled and said, "Alright then, once you're done with everything, we'll go buy the bed."

Why did that sound kinda weird? But Shen Luo was too busy and scattered to figure it out. Usually, when people went to buy a bed together, they were either getting married or moving in together, right? Shen Luo didn't think much and just absentmindedly agreed—and now he was gonna be sharing a bed with Ogawa for several days!

When he finally lay down to sleep, he suddenly remembered what happened last night and broke out in a cold sweat. What if he kicked off his own blanket again and crawled into Xiao Chuan's in the middle of the night? It'd be one thing if he got away with it, but if he got caught? He didn't even wanna imagine how bad that could get.

With his mind spinning and nerves on edge, Shen Luo tossed and turned for a while before finally falling asleep.

The next morning, when Shen Luo woke up, Xiao Chuan was already awake.

Xiao Chuan had slept in a tank top and soft pants, and Shen Luo had on just a T-shirt and underwear. Two guys in one blanket—things were definitely heating up. But... why were they in the same blanket again?! And his situation was way too obvious, pointing right at Xiao Chuan—there was no hiding it even if he tried!

Shen Luo was on the verge of a breakdown.

"I need the bathroom!" he blurted out, flipping over and scrambling out of bed. He shoved on his slippers and bolted toward the bathroom, slap-slap-slap.

Xiao Chuan watched his back and couldn't help but laugh. The guy looked kinda funny when he was flustered.

By the time Shen Luo came out of the bathroom, Xiao Chuan had already made the bed.

Shen Luo felt like he couldn't get a moment's peace that whole morning. He kept getting the feeling Xiao Chuan was looking at him with this weird expression, though he wasn't sure if he was just imagining things.

After hanging up the bedsheets they'd washed the night before, Shen Luo couldn't take it anymore. Thinking about how he still had to share a bed with Xiao Chuan for a few more nights, he felt like he was going to mentally crash. So he went ahead and said, "Last night was my bad. I kicked off my blanket and ended up stealing yours."

Xiao Chuan raised an eyebrow and said, "No worries. I didn't mind."

Shen Luo couldn't find anything to say to that and deflated a bit. He didn't even know when he'd picked up this annoying habit of kicking off his blanket in his sleep.

Now that the weather was getting warmer, they were only using thin blankets. Kicking them off wasn't the end of the world, but you could still catch a cold—so they were kind of a must.

Then Xiao Chuan added, "How about we just sleep under the same blanket from the start?"

Shen Luo jumped in shock and quickly waved it off. "No way! I kick the blanket off—you'll catch a cold or something!"

Xiao Chuan didn't push it any further after that. Shen Luo got the sense he might be a little upset, but then again, he figured he was probably overthinking it. Why would Ogawa be upset?

It wasn't until they got to the event venue and Xiao Chuan went off to meet Jin Guodong that Shen Luo finally breathed a sigh of relief. Being around Ogawa was honestly just sweet, painful torture.

Since there was nothing going on that morning, Shen Luo took his dog for another walk. Baby's owner still hadn't shown up, and there was no news on Weibo either. Shen Luo figured maybe the owner really wasn't going to be found. If Ethan ended up really liking the dog, then maybe they'd just keep it!

What he didn't expect, though, was that now Brother Pi was becoming kind of a celebrity dog. People were even stopping them on the street to ask for selfies.

"I watched the frisbee competition yesterday—you were seriously amazing! You too, great job!" The compliment to Shen Luo was more like an afterthought, but Shen Luo just gave a helpless smile and said, "Thanks!"

Brother Pi didn't mind posing for photos at all. In fact, he looked super happy about it.
