The King of Curses Can't Stop Me from Becoming an Idol Ch. 30

"A life like yours is insanely boring. You might as well hand your body over to me, and I'll show you what life really means."

Saki didn't waver from her principles at all because of his words. She even bluntly shot back, "What kind of bullshit are you talking about?"

"How come what I do is meaningless? As long as I'm happy, isn't that enough?"

"It's like you doing bad things makes you happy, and I get my nails done and it makes me happy. Why is yours meaningful but mine isn't?"

Sukuna fell silent, realizing he couldn't out-argue her.

He had to admit that the girl really did live freely, doing what she liked every day, and no one could force her. The Headquarters didn't cooperate, so they got wiped out.

She didn't kill people; she just didn't like killing, and that was a choice made freely.

"Heh, you're right, but one day I will get this body and steal your freewheeling life." He declared with a smile.

"Enough already, it's not even fully dark yet, not time to daydream." Saki said, annoyed.

Sukuna: "..."

Ryomen Sukuna wanted to kill someone.

"By the way, you're a guy, right? If you really steal my body, won't you have to be a girl from then on?" Saki was shocked. "Don't you care about that?"

"Wait, you don't want to be a girl, do you? No wonder you want my body so badly." She felt like she'd figured out the truth.

Sukuna: "..."

Ryomen Sukuna really, really wanted to kill someone.

"Shut up. I'm only interested in the power of this body." Sukuna snapped, losing his patience.

"I don't buy it. How could someone want to change gender for power? If you want power, just train for a few years yourself." Saki was stubbornly wrong on this.

After all, she and her brother both trained for three years to get the power they have now.

"You don't need to hide anything from me. You're literally living inside my body now. Our relationship is closer than married couples."

"If you really want to be a girl, I'll treat you like a sister from now on. Don't worry, I won't laugh at you."

Sukuna: "..."

Ryomen Sukuna super, super wanted to kill someone.

Saki was waiting for Gojo to contact her and handle the mess that had gone down, but the entire next day passed with no progress at all. When she texted him to ask, the only reply she got was: wait.

Since jujutsu higher-ups hadn't come after her again, she figured she might as well leave it alone and just do her own thing.

President Inugane Onimanjirou had been bursting with inspiration lately—he was writing a new song for her and planning to have her release a new single in September.

So she was about to get busy. Next up was recording the song, shooting the MV, and then to keep the hype going, she'd be guesting on a radio show. Once the single officially dropped, a concert would be added to the schedule too.

These past few days, she had to head to the agency every day, helping the president tweak and polish the song over and over.

Three days after the whole scene at Jujutsu Headquarters, Gojo finally showed up. He came first thing in the morning.

Saki had just gotten out of bed when she got a message saying he was on his way. Before she could even finish getting ready, he was already at her door.

All she could do was open the door and let him sit in the living room while he waited.

Gojo didn't bother with any formalities. As soon as he came in, he flopped down on the couch, shut his eyes, and tried to catch a quick nap. He hadn't gotten much rest these past three days, constantly arguing back and forth with the people at Jujutsu Headquarters.

Now that the arguing was mostly wrapped up, he was here to take the girl to the department—the old guys there wanted to meet her in person.

Half an hour later, Saki was finally all ready, looking flawless from the top of her head down to her heels.

She really was a picture-perfect idol.

"Let's go. I'm taking you to the Jujutsu Headquarters," Gojo Satoru said, standing up and motioning to her.

"Wait, I haven't had breakfast yet," Saki said, then casually asked, "Mr. Gojo have you eaten?"

"Not yet. Let's just grab something outside," Gojo Satoru replied like it was no big deal.

"No need. Genos is probably already making it," Saki shook her head.

Unless she specifically told him not to, Genos always made her a portion. She usually went over to her brother's place for breakfast anyway.

"Who's Genos?" Gojo asked, curious.

"Wait here a sec." Saki didn't explain. She just opened that door and ran off to the other world.

Gojo froze and instinctively pulled off his blindfold.

What had he just seen?

The girl had straight-up walked through a wall—and not like, gone behind the wall. She vanished completely.

He walked over to inspect it closely, even reached out and touched it. Looked like a totally normal door, and the wall was just a regular wall.

Meanwhile, Saki had already crossed over and spotted Genos busy in the kitchen.

"Good morning, Miss Kiki. Breakfast is almost ready," Genos said with a smile.

"Good morning, Genos." Saki gave a bright smile back, then asked a little shyly, "Could you make one more portion? I have a friend over."

"Of course," Genos replied kindly, and decided to give her his own portion first.

"Thanks!" Saki beamed at him.

Once Genos finished the last of the miso soup, she carried two portions of breakfast back to the other world.

Gojo was still studying the door with interest, and nearly ran into her when she suddenly popped out. Luckily, both of them had quick reflexes.

"Mr. Gojo, let's eat breakfast together," Saki called out to him.

"Where did you just go?" Gojo asked as he sat down at the table.

Saki pushed his breakfast over to him, then thought for a second and asked, "If I told you I'm not actually from this world, would you believe me?"

"I believe you." Gojo nodded seriously. "So you are a Super Saiyan. From Planet Vegeta."

Saki: "......"

Was this joke ever going to die?

"Nope, but I really did come from another world. I crossed over three years ago. One morning I opened my door, and boom—I was suddenly here," Saki said honestly. "At the time, all I had with me was that door. Then I found out I could move freely between the two worlds through it."

"That's wild. What's your world like?" Gojo perked up. "Also—also—can I go over there too?"

"Nope. You can't. Only my brother and I can pass through," Saki shook her head, then gave him a simple rundown of her world.
