Saiyans Forbidden from Crossing Worlds to Steal Jobs Ch. 24
He bolted backward, as something heavy slammed down, the ground in front of him cracking open and spiderwebbing for dozens of meters.
Heat waves surged, dust spread everywhere, and an arrogant voice rang in his ears.
"Hey, human."
The newcomer said, "That intelligent cursed spirit you mentioned—where is it?"

At a five-star hotel.
In the bathroom, steam filled the air, water running.
On the table, a phone screen lit up and dimmed, lit up and dimmed again.
The ringtone kept buzzing a few times, no answer.
Until the fifth time, the bathroom door finally slid open.
A young man came out in a bath towel, thumb still damp as he swiped open the screen.
"Ijichi, you'd better give me a reason not to hit you."
On the other end, Ijichi's voice was loud and urgent, "I'm sorry for disturbing you, Gojo-san, but something huge just happened!"
"What is it?"
"It's Tsukishima-san." Ijichi's voice was rushed and panicked. "Tsukishima-san is on the dark web bounty list."
"Eh?"
"The bounty's already up to 250,000 dollars!!!!"
"What do we do, Gojo-san! Tons of curse users are heading this way."
"Tsukishima-san is really in danger right now!"
Ijichi was frantic, Ijichi was lost, Ijichi was freaking the hell out.
But hearing this, Gojo wasn't panicked at all. Instead, he chuckled, "Haha, not bad. That's my kind of style."
"That's not the point, Gojo-san!"
"The point is Tsukishima-san is in real danger right now!"
"Calm down." Gojo was cool as ever. "Ijichi, you don't know that girl well enough."
"She'll be fine." As he said that, he stroked his chin, water dripping down his hair, murmuring to himself, "Two hundred fifty grand's kinda low, isn't it? Mine was a whole hundred mil. Should I bump hers up just to round it out?"
"Gojo-san?!!!!!!" Ijichi practically screeched like a chicken, "Do you hear the terrifying crap you're saying?!"
"Ijichi." Gojo dug at his ear. "You're too noisy. You want me to hit you?"
"Ah ah, sorry, Gojo-san, but adding fifty grand to the bounty is way too much! Do you want Tsukishima-san to die?"
"She won't." Gojo Satoru, for once, patiently explained. "That girl's strength might even be greater than mine."
"Eh, eh?!!!"
"But her personality's got no madness in it, and she's laughably naive, saying stuff like 'Sensei, I don't kill people.'"
"You know it too, right? In the jujutsu world, how could you possibly survive without killing?"
"With that kind of personality, if she doesn't get properly taught, it'll turn into a big problem."
"So the coolest, strongest, spiciest teacher Gojo has to polish her up."
"That's seriously not the point here."
"No teacher trains their student by raising their bounty!!"
"And besides, Tsukishima-san isn't even your student!!"
"A-re." Gojo froze—he really had forgotten that Tsukishima Ikki wasn't a student at Jujutsu High.
But then he waved it off. "Maa maa, none of that matters."
"It really does matter!"
"That's it, I'm hanging up." He hung up decisively.
Tsukishima Ikki's strength didn't need him to worry, but...
Gojo lowered his eyes slightly. Was sending him to Africa really just so they could put a bounty on Ikki?
Those old geezers at the top were getting more and more disgusting.
Ahhh, when the hell would those old bastards just die already!
Maybe he should kill them all instead!
Thinking that, Gojo pulled out his phone and booked a flight back home.

Afternoon, 5:40
Unicorn Apartments.
Darkness of a Curtain covered the sky.
In an alley, a figure got blasted back.
Half their body slammed into a wall, the whole structure shattering instantly, rubble and shards flying.
What came next was a sharp axe, blade flashing with cold light as it hacked down on Sukima Onna's right arm.
Her right arm turned into black smoke and vanished. Seeing this, Kumiya Juzo looked utterly disgusted. "Not even bones left, what useless trash."
"A coat rack, I want a coat rack!!!"
He raised his blade and hacked down again.
"Enough, Juzo." Shigemo Haruta's voice cut in to stop him. "If this keeps up, this little cutie's gonna die."
"Then we'd have come here for nothing." As he spoke, he walked toward Sukima Onna, eyes curving with a smile. "Don't be scared, good girl."
His eyes were empty, his voice gentle, "We won't hurt you."
"As long as you obediently let yourself be sealed, you'll be freed~"
Sukima Onna: ...
So, so scary!
Sukima Onna stumbled back.
'This guy was scarier than a cursed spirit!'
'Boss, where are you?'
'Your hardest-working employee is about to be gone!'
'Gone!!!'
Sukima Onna screamed in her heart, but all she could do was watch as that sealing box got closer and closer.
"Come on." Ponytail tilted his head and opened the box. "In—"
Suddenly!! He got kicked flying.
The ground cracked apart, a volcano erupted, molten lava swept through the area.
Thick black smoke billowed, explosions roared nonstop.
Through the heavy smoke, Sukima Onna saw a tall figure.
He slowly walked toward her.
"Human."
His handsome single eye flickered, that small pupil holding an arrogance that looked down on everything.
"False, stupid, weak, full of lies—humanity is the source of all evil in this world."
His pale lips parted, sharp black teeth clashing out a defiant voice.
"Only we cursed spirits are the true masters of this world."
Sukima Onna stared blankly at him.
'My destined one is a peerless curse. One day, he'll come save me, standing under Mount Fuji, bare feet on the ground, little smoke puffing from his head.'
"I was born from humanity's fear of the earth."
The aura burst out, overwhelming and explosive, crazy cool and dominating.
Shigemo shook in fear just watching, and Kumiya's face lost all color.
This was...
"A Special Grade Cursed Spirit!!!"
And it was one that could even talk!
This wasn't the kind of mission they were supposed to be taking!
The sorcerer's survival rulebook said: strike hard against the weak, stay quiet like a chicken against the strong.
Time to run.
