The Goofy Spring Breeze Blows Everywhere, Geto's Sister is Truly Impressive Ch. 109

Wait, what? Wasn't it Gojo? Why'd she suddenly switch to Zen'in?!

Chihori: [The ultimate sucker's gotta be the Zen'ins.]

System: [HEY!!!]

The show still needed more buildup. For now, the students were mainly focused on training, attending classes, and going on missions.

By this time, Haibara and Nanami had already moved up to their second year at Jujutsu High, and they were starting to take on more long-distance missions.

Before they left, Chihori enthusiastically and thoughtfully stuffed some plants into their bags. "Just in case—take a few Puff-shrooms, Sun-shrooms, Blovers, and Cherry Bombs. You're already carrying a lot, so I only packed the medium and small-sized ones."

"Ah, no need for so much, Chihori-nee-san." Haibara, with his short bob haircut, held his bag in both hands, his face beaming with a bright, sunny smile. "It's just a simple mission to take down a Grade 2 cursed spirit."

Nanami nodded beside him. "Yes, it's just the location that's a bit far. Most of our time and effort will be spent on the trip."

"Going far out, huh... Yeah, that's pretty tiring."

"But getting to visit a new place is exciting too!" Haibara was full of youthful energy, his grin cheerful. "I even looked up some guides in advance. If we finish the mission early, we might get to walk around a bit—and I can bring back some local specialties for everyone!"

"Wow." Chihori's eyes lit up with anticipation. "Yummy ones!"

Nanami said calmly, "Does Miss Geto have any dietary restrictions? We'll keep it in mind when picking up souvenirs."

"Yeah, yeah," Haibara suddenly looked like he just remembered something. Concern filled his eyes as he hesitated, "I'm not sure what Chihori-nee-san can eat, with your health and all..."

They both still remembered Chihori wasn't in the best shape—always needing medication and going to the hospital for weekly checkups. Even though her combat power was maxed out, her frail health still made people worry.

"It's fine, I don't really have any food restrictions." Chihori smiled and pointed at herself. "Remember how I chomped down that Winter Melon? These teeth are made of steel!"

Nanami replied, "Miss Geto has strong teeth. But food still needs to go to your stomach."

"My stomach's made of iron too, totally unbreakable."

Nanami: "Miss Geto, please don't joke about your health."

"Don't worry. Worst case, I'll just cough up some blood. But honestly, coughing blood regularly is kind of like a health reset."

Haibara widened his puppy eyes. "No, Chihori-nee-san! There's no way coughing up blood counts as a 'health reset'!!"

After packing the plants into their backpacks, the group kept chatting as they walked forward.

"Oh! It's Geto-senpai!" Haibara turned the corner and spotted Suguru sitting on a bench. "Hello, Geto-senpai!"

—At the moment, Suguru had his hair down, no longer tied in a bun. The mid-length strands fell loosely around his shoulders, a little messy and giving off a faint air of exhaustion. He sat with his hands clasped in front of him, lost in some kind of thought.

"Haibara...?" Hearing Haibara's voice, Suguru looked up. Then he saw Nanami and Chihori standing nearby, and he smiled gently. "Sister. Nanami."

"Want something to drink, Geto-senpai?" Haibara happily stepped over to the vending machine. "Looks like they've got some new stuff again!"

"Eh? No thanks, I'm good." Suguru lifted the juice box sitting next to him on the bench. "I already had some strawberry milk." As he tilted his head slightly, a few strands of his hair shifted back, though they seemed a little uneven.

"Wearing your hair down in this heat must be hot, Suguru," Chihori said, walking over to her younger brother, her green eyes glancing over.

"I'd actually prefer it tied up. The hair tie just snapped." Suguru coughed lightly and looked a bit troubled as he brushed his hair back and tucked it behind his head.

Chihori said, "I've got a hair tie!" She slid off the black ribbon-like scrunchie from her wrist and handed it to her little brother.

"Then thank you, sister." Suguru smiled as he took it without hesitation. He didn't seem to mind the little decorative bow and, accepting her kindness, used it to tie his hair back up into a bun.

Nanami's eyes lingered on Suguru for a second. After a brief pause, he spoke up, "...You look a bit tired, Geto-senpai."

Under everyone's gaze, Suguru finally let out a soft sigh and admitted, "Yeah, I guess I kind of am."

His gaze dropped halfway, and after a moment of silence, he continued, "I realized that something I believed in before... might've been wrong. But I also can't fully stick to or let go of that idea. So, yeah, I guess the back-and-forth has worn me out."

"..." Chihori sat down beside him and gently placed her hand over his. "Do you wanna talk about it, Suguru?"

"...Sister." Suguru looked up. Faced with her calm and patient green eyes, he paused for a beat, then gave a soft smile. "Of course I do."

After a bit of thought, Suguru spoke in a low voice, "I used to think nobody besides you could bite into an Ice-Melon."

Haibara's jaw dropped. "Wait, did you try to bite into one too, Geto-senpai??"

System (leaning back in shock): [For real!? So the iron teeth thing is hereditary?!]

Suguru clarified, "No, I put a Grave Buster on the Winter Melon and ended up discovering a new way to make shaved ice. The reason I said I couldn't fully stick to or reject my original idea is because—the Grave Buster did crush the Winter Melon, but I think its teeth got wrecked too."

Chihori thought for a second. "...Wait, Grave Buster has teeth??"

Suguru hesitated. "Or maybe it was tartar buildup? Anyway, the crushed melon ice ended up with a ton of rock-like fragments in it... So, yeah, not a viable shaved ice method."

Nanami fell into an odd silence. "So, senpai, you were feeling worn out because... of this?"

"Not just that." Suguru pointed to his freshly tied-up bun. "Did you notice earlier? My hair's uneven. The Grave Buster took a few bites out of it—when it decides to bite, it really bites."
(System: Naoya Zen'in, who once got bitten on the hand, silently gave a like.)

Haibara gasped. "Whoa, your hair, senpai..."

Suguru said solemnly, "The Grave Buster has a bit of a mind of its own."

Silence hung in the air for three seconds.

Chihori asked, "That's all that's been bothering you, Suguru?"

Suguru tilted his head, a little confused. "Why, sister?"
