The King of Curses Can't Stop Me from Becoming an Idol Ch. 26

"No point," Gojo said regretfully. "Besides me, who has the Six Eyes, normal sorcerers can't tell if someone who swallowed a cursed object is possessed."

"As long as they find Ryomen Sukuna's cursed energy on you, they'll treat you as possessed."

"Though I could help you lie... to be honest, my relationship with the Jujutsu Headquarters isn't great. Those old guys don't really trust me."

"The best outcome for you would be the same as Yuji's—getting into Jujutsu High School and under supervision."

Saki immediately smiled and said, "Then I'll solve it my own way."

"Good luck," Gojo said with a smile, then added, "There's a Reverse Cursed Technique user at the high school who can quickly heal serious injuries."

Saki was silent.

Was that a hint about where she should strike?

"Alright then, that's it. I'm going to book my flight abroad. You gotta keep it up~" Gojo hung up.

Saki stayed quiet.

This really was a hint about where to hit.

The call ended, and the girl actually stayed anxious for two minutes before lying back down to sleep.

That stupid stuff wasn't more important than sleep.

·

At 1 a.m., Saki was woken up by pounding knocks on the door. She shot up, sitting straight, angrily took out her phone, and checked the time.

Great, now she was even more annoyed.

She didn't want to deal with whoever was there, but the knocking showed no sign of stopping and even got harder because the owner hadn't opened the door.

She held her breath and got up, but before she could change clothes and leave the bedroom, two loud bangs came from outside, and then the whole world went quiet.

Saki stepped out of the bedroom and, unsurprisingly, saw her brother who also looked like he had been holding his breath, standing up.

"Did you knock them out, brother?" she asked to be sure.

"Yeah." Saitama nodded. The knocking outside was so loud it even came through that special door to him.

"Okay, then I'm going back to sleep." Saki had no intention of going out to check; since her brother had dealt with it, she'd wait until morning.

The siblings each returned to their rooms and went back to sleep.

Just after 2 a.m., knocking came again, or more accurately, banging on the door, accompanied by voices of several people.

Saki irritably covered her ears but didn't get up this time, knowing her brother would handle it.

Sure enough, a minute later, the outside was quiet again.

To avoid being woken up again, she reached into the drawer of her bedside table, grabbed a pair of earplugs she'd bought but never used, and put them in.

The earplugs were good quality, and this time she slept straight until dawn.

When Saki woke up, it was already 7 a.m., a bit later than usual. Remembering what happened last night, she first went to check the door.

Damn, as soon as she opened it, the outside was full of unconscious people. There was barely any room to step, and a rough count showed at least twenty.

Looks like last night was even more lively than she thought. Good thing her brother was there, or her beauty sleep would've been ruined.

Saki felt relieved, calmly closed the door, and went back inside to wash up.

After washing up, she checked on her brother. Seeing he was still asleep, she didn't disturb him and casually grabbed some toast and milk from the fridge for breakfast.

During the meal, she got a call from Gojo.

"Kiki-chan, you're so efficient? You already fought them last night?" His voice carried obvious amusement.

"They came at midnight and woke me and my brother up. My brother knocked them all out," Saki complained unhappily. "Now there are unconscious people all around my door. I don't even know what to do."

"Hahaha~" Gojo couldn't help but laugh. The gloating was way too obvious.

Of course, that gloating was definitely aimed at the Jujutsu Headquarters.

"Mr. Gojo, you're a sorcerer, and a teacher at the high school," Saki reminded him politely.

Was that laugh really appropriate?

"I'm not gloating. It's just the weather here is so nice, I'm a bit happy about it," Gojo said confidently.

Saki: "..."

"Mr. Gojo, so why did you call? You're not just here to hear jokes, right?" Saki asked, speechless.

Gojo paused suspiciously for a few seconds before denying, "Cough, no way."

The girl said nothing, quietly waiting for him to come up with a reasonable excuse.

"I'm calling to ask what kind of souvenirs you want," Gojo answered seriously.

"I don't buy it," Saki said, then switched gears, "Are there any local specialties there? Food or toys are fine. Go check them out first, then tell me—I want to pick myself."

"Okay, when I head out later, I'll just take pictures and show you," Gojo agreed casually.

Although Gojo really just called to hear about the Jujutsu Inspectors's miserable state, he still reminded her of a couple things before hanging up.

"The Headquarters's Office hasn't sent any Grade 1 sorcerers yet, so you still need to be careful."

"How powerful are Grade 1 sorcerers? Are they stronger than you?" Saki asked curiously.

"No way, I'm the strongest," Gojo said with a smile. "But some sorcerers have tricky abilities, so you better not let your guard down."

After hearing that, Saki thought for two seconds and asked, "Where's the Headquarters's Office? Can I just go talk to them directly?"

She was worried that if a fight broke out, her place might get wrecked. Plus, if she could sort things out with the Jujutsu Headquarters's Office early, she could get back to work sooner—the ice cream commercial hadn't been filmed yet.

"You really planning to just show up?" Gojo asked in surprise.

"Talk, I mean talk," Saki said, exasperated.

"Alright, the Jujutsu Headquarters's Office is in a kinda remote spot. I'll text you the address later," Gojo said after thinking a bit. "They have a barrier set up, so you'll get spotted as soon as you step in."

"I'm going to talk," Saki emphasized again.

"Whatever happened yesterday's definitely been reported to the Jujutsu Headquarters already. Those old guys are probably in a meeting now. If you wanna take them all down, just head to the conference room."

"I said I'm going to talk," Saki rolled her eyes.

"I'll draw you a simple floor plan later," Gojo suggested with a grin.

Saki: "..."

Saki stayed silent for a few seconds before finally asking, "Mr. Gojo, do you have some deep hatred against the Jujutsu Headquarters's Office or something?"
