The King of Curses Can't Stop Me from Becoming an Idol Ch. 35
"Oh, and once you're done with the skincare, make sure my body goes to sleep right away. I need to be asleep before ten," Saki added at the end.
Sukuna: "......"
Sukuna took a deep breath and swallowed all his impatience. "Fine."
With both sides reaching an agreement, they sealed a deal that was nothing short of absurd.
Once the girl stopped resisting, Sukuna successfully kicked her out of his innate domain—and smoothly took over control of her body.
After Saki left the innate domain, her soul instantly slipped into sleep thanks to her drunken state.
Sukuna opened his eyes, now in control of the girl's body. The first thing he did was dig through her bag, pull out the keychain, unseal the finger hanging from it, and swallow it whole in one go.
That had been his goal all along.
At the same moment, downstairs, Gojo's expression changed dramatically. He immediately ran upstairs.
Gojo didn't waste a second—he kicked the door open and rushed into the girl's bedroom, locking eyes with Sukuna, who was in the middle of squeezing facial cleanser into his hand.
The atmosphere turned weird real fast.
"Are you Sukuna or Kiki?" he asked uncertainly.
"Heh, take a guess." Sukuna let out a cold laugh, then casually rubbed the cleanser between his hands to work up a lather before putting it on his face.
Gojo's brain practically short-circuited. His Six Eyes clearly told him it was Ryomen Sukuna in control right now, but...
What the hell was he doing?
What the hell was the King of Curses doing?
He stopped thinking for a long moment. Seeing that Sukuna wasn't doing anything else—just irritably washing his face—he finally forced himself to calm down a little.
"You two made a binding vow again, didn't you?" he quickly figured it out.
That had to be it. If Sukuna had actually managed to steal full control of the body, there was no way he'd just be here casually washing his face.
Sukuna didn't deny it. With clear malice in his voice, he said, "You should really be thankful that brat added a no-hurting-people clause into the vow."
Gojo relaxed the moment his guess was confirmed, but he was still worried there might be loopholes, so even after that he didn't leave. Instead, he sat casually on the edge of the bed, facing the bathroom where "the girl" was washing her face.
"What did Kiki promise you that actually made you agree to this?" he asked curiously.
Sukuna didn't answer. After rinsing the foam off his face, he walked out to the living room like it had nothing to do with him.
"Where are you going?" Gojo stood up and followed.
Sukuna still didn't respond. He opened the fridge, found the face masks kept cold inside, and picked out the hydrating one the girl had requested.
Gojo was hit with the loudest silence in history.
Right now, he had to hand it to Saki. He seriously respected that she'd managed to get the King of Curses to put on a face mask for her.
No matter how you looked at it, this was insane. Beyond insane.
Sukuna couldn't care less what anyone thought. After picking the mask, he went back to the bathroom and applied it to his face just like he'd seen the girl do it before.
Though unlike her, he had zero patience. The mask didn't stick properly, but he didn't bother fixing it. As far as he was concerned, as long as it was on his face, mission accomplished.
Once the mask was on, he saw Gojo still hanging around nearby and snapped, "Stop hovering and get lost."
"No can do," Gojo shrugged helplessly. "If there's even one loophole in your vow, things could get real messy. I'll stay until Kiki wakes up."
Sukuna really wanted to smack him, but the vow wouldn't let him. In the end, he could only let Gojo stay in the room.
Which meant Gojo got to personally witness the King of Curses washing his face, putting on a sheet mask, and slathering on a whole bunch of skincare products.
Sukuna spent over half an hour finishing the whole tedious routine. Then, ignoring the white-haired guy still in the room, he flopped onto the bed and gave up control of the body.
The black tattoos on the girl's skin quickly faded away.
Gojo knew that meant Sukuna had gone dormant again, but he didn't dare relax. He stayed right there, choosing to keep watch until the girl woke up.
When Saki woke up the next morning and turned her head, she was startled to find Gojo slouched in a chair nearby.
If they weren't already so familiar with each other, she might've thrown a punch on instinct.
"Mr. Gojo, what are you doing here?" she asked, completely stunned.
Gojo snapped awake the moment he heard her voice. He stretched lazily and rubbed his stiff shoulders before replying wearily, "What happened last night? Why'd you let Sukuna out?"
Saki instantly tensed. "Did Sukuna do something bad?"
"Not really," Gojo answered truthfully. "I noticed he got out and didn't feel at ease, so I came up to keep watch."
"Oh, phew. That's good." Saki relaxed, then gave a full and honest explanation of what had happened the night before.
After she finished, Gojo Satoru fell into a long silence.
A very long one.
Finally, he sighed and pointed to the sealing cloth carelessly tossed on the bed. "He didn't cause any trouble... but he did eat the finger."
Saki froze—then instantly flipped out and yelled at Sukuna inside her, "Sukuna! How could you eat the finger without telling me?!"
"Don't ask stupid questions," Sukuna replied flatly, clearly unimpressed.
"Kiki, seriously, don't go making binding vows with Sukuna so casually anymore. You're just asking to get played like this," Gojo said with a sigh, clearly exasperated.
"Mm-hmm! I swear, I won't do it again," Saki promised earnestly, holding up her hand like she was taking an oath.
But Gojo still didn't feel at ease. He silently decided to start turning down unnecessary work and make more time to keep an eye on her.
After all, Saki's ability to cause chaos was... well-documented.
Who else would actually make a vow with the King of Curses just to get their skincare done before bed?
Despite Gojo labeling her as "unreliable," Saki remained perfectly reliable when it came to her actual job.
Once Inugane Onimanjiro finished composing the new song, she quickly completed the vocal recording within half a day.
The mixing and mastering were in the hands of professionals. Her next task was preparing for the MV shoot.
