The King of Curses Can't Stop Me from Becoming an Idol Ch. 36
The new song was a bright and bouncy summer love song, with themes like beaches, sunshine, and romance. So Onimanjiro immediately decided they'd shoot it in Okinawa. The nostalgic vibe of the track even inspired him to personally oversee the filming.
In early August, Saki boarded a plane to Okinawa with her boss. Also tagging along were her manager Kinoshita, the girls Airi, Mari, and Chika, plus more than a dozen members of the Inugane crew.
Airi, Mari, and Chika were there to shoot some swimsuit photobooks and would also make cameo appearances in the MV. The Inugane guys, meanwhile, were there to keep crowds away and manage on-site order.
Saitama had wanted to come too, but the shoot would take a few days and he had other assignments, so he had to pass.
Gojo Satoru, being constantly swamped with work, obviously couldn't go either—even if he wanted to keep an eye on her. After hearing about her trip, he just reminded her one more time: Do not let Ryomen Sukuna out again.
The crew arrived in Okinawa around noon, checked into their hotel, and went out scouting for filming locations that same afternoon.
Airi, Mari, and Chika changed into sexy swimsuits for their shoots. Saki, on the other hand, wore a light yellow sundress and a huge sunhat—super soft and refreshing, like she'd just stepped out of a postcard.
The others started shooting their photobooks first, so Saki sat under a parasol to watch.
And the more she watched... the more jealous she got.
"Sukuna, do you think I should get surgery too?" Saki suddenly asked.
"What now?" Sukuna replied, clearly confused.
"Breast augmentation," she said bluntly, then immediately realized this guy was from a thousand years ago—way before that kind of technology existed. So she went on to give him a full breakdown of the types and procedures of modern boob jobs.
After spending so much time together, she really didn't see him as the opposite sex anymore. She could talk about this stuff with zero embarrassment.
Though honestly, she didn't really see him as the same sex either. If anything, she didn't see him as human at all.
Sukuna's brows furrowed tighter the longer she talked. He genuinely thought she had something wrong with her brain.
Cutting open your body just to shove something in there and make your chest bigger? What kind of terrifying and pointless idea was that?
"Are you actually mentally sound?" he said with undisguised disdain.
"You're the one who's not mentally sound," Saki snapped back, then kept talking to herself. "I've thought about doing it for a long time, but I'm worried the results won't be good. And regular scalpels can't even cut through my skin."
"And most importantly... I'm scared of pain..."
Her voice trailed off, then suddenly lit up like she had an epiphany.
"Sukuna! Is there a way for me to sleep through the whole thing and you go get the surgery for me? Then wake me up after my body fully heals?"
Sukuna: "......"
He stared in silence for a few seconds, then let out a sharp laugh full of rage and disbelief. "Heh. You really can imagine anything, huh."
"I was just saying," Saki muttered, clearly knowing how ridiculous the idea was. She dropped the topic, a little guilty.
Once Mari and the others finished shooting their photobooks, Saki jumped into her own work.
The dance parts for the MV would be shot indoors, so this day was mainly for capturing outdoor footage—scenes of her running and playing on the beach.
Thanks to Inugane Onimanjiro's super high standards, everyone kept going until the sun finally set. After wrapping up, they all headed back to the hotel for dinner.
Saki had no interest in wandering around afterward. She went straight to her room for skincare.
She'd been under the sun all afternoon, after all.
By the time she finished a skincare routine even more elaborate than usual, it was nearly 10 p.m. She stared into the mirror, inspecting her face closely. Once she confirmed her skin was still flawless, she finally climbed into bed, satisfied.
"Good night," she even said cheerfully to Sukuna.
He didn't respond.

Late that night, a strange rustling sound came from outside the window—like the rapid skittering of some arthropod. Then a massive eyeball filled the entire window frame.
Inside the innate domain, Sukuna immediately sensed something was off. His brows lifted slightly, then he smirked like he was settling in to watch a good show.
He didn't bother warning Saki at all.
BANG—
The window shattered.
Saki jolted awake and opened her eyes—only to find herself staring straight into a monstrous bug's face.
It was a curse spirit shaped like a centipede, but absurdly huge. Its thick, bloated body filled up the entire window. There were at least three meters between the window and the edge of her bed, but for this thing, that was barely a tenth of its full body length. It had to be over thirty meters long in total.
'What the hell is that thing!?'
Saki was definitely freaked out. But her body reacted faster than her mind—before she could even scream, her fist had already launched forward, sending the centipede's head flying.
Thick, gooey blood splattered everywhere, covering her head to toe.
AAAAAHHHHH!!!
She screamed internally while sprinting for the bathroom. Cranking the faucet up to full blast, she scrubbed at her face, desperately trying to wash off the sticky blood.
The cursed spirit whose head had just been blown apart by Saki thrashed its massive body in pain. Dozens of long, spindly legs flailed around, smashing everything in the hotel room to pieces.
Footsteps sounded from outside the door—someone from the next room had heard the commotion.
"Ki-chan, what's going on over there?"
Saki realized this couldn't go on. She threw another punch at the curse. This time she held back her strength, not blasting the creature into pieces, but instead sending it flying out the shattered window.
"I'm fine," she called back, then grabbed her phone and vaulted out the window after it.
Just as she landed, the curse's head—already fully regenerated—lunged at her again. She swiftly dodged to the side, grabbed one of its antennae, and took off running toward the beach.
Even though it was the middle of the night, the streets were still pretty lively, full of people. There was no way she could fight it here.
Dragging the massive centipede-like curse along with her, she called Gojo, hoping he could tell her what to do.
