The King of Curses Can't Stop Me from Becoming an Idol Ch. 50

"What! Is that really the image you have of me?" Saki said in shock.

"Pfft, just messing with you," Gojo replied with a laugh.

The two of them kept chatting and laughing as they headed toward the school—until they both noticed something strange in the sky before they even got there. A black curtain dropped down like a stage backdrop.

"What's that? I saw it last time when those three cursed spirits attacked me," Saki asked curiously.

"It's a curtain. A basic barrier technique that hides a certain area," Gojo explained. Then he suddenly dashed forward. "There's an intruder."

"Huh?" Saki looked totally confused, but instinctively followed.

They quickly reached the outside of the curtain. Gojo reached out to destroy it, but the barrier repelled his hand hard.

Saki saw that and quickly offered, "Let me try. I got this."

As she spoke, she threw a strong punch at the curtain. But in the next second, the expected impact never came. Her fist went right through it.

She lost her balance from the momentum and fell flat on the ground, with her upper body inside the curtain and her lower body still outside.

"Looks like this curtain's only targeting me," Gojo said thoughtfully, then quickly made a call. "Kiki-chan, I can't get in right now. Go protect the students for me. I'll treat you to a meal later."

"Sure," Saki said, scrambling up without hesitation and dashing straight inside. But just a few steps in, she screeched to a halt, poked her head back out, and asked sweetly, "I make a lot of noise when I fight, and I might wreck some buildings. Is that okay?"

"No worries. Go wild. You can tear down the whole school if you want," Gojo waved it off like it was nothing.

With that reassurance, Saki took off running inside.

She'd just stepped into the curtain when she ran into a man dressed like a butcher. As he walked, he grumbled, "Hey hey hey, weren't they saying Gojo was—"

The guy looked shady as hell. She didn't even let him finish talking—she punched him straight in the face.

The man was sent flying dozens of meters, smashing through seven or eight trees before finally coming to a stop, lying motionless on the ground, fate unknown.

After knocking the guy out with a single punch, she didn't stop—she kept running forward, planning to find the students first.

"Sukuna, Sukuna, point me in the right direction, will ya?" she called out, trying to get Sukuna to help.

"Why the hell would I help you?" Sukuna refused.

"Help me out, and I'll go easy on you next time we play cards," Saki offered.

"You think I need you to go easy on me? Screw off," Sukuna snapped.

Saki was about to say more, but someone else appeared in front of her—a guy holding a weird long sword and wearing a black outfit with his right shoulder bare. Definitely not the good-guy type.

She knocked him out with one punch too.

Right after that, massive tree roots suddenly shot up into the sky nearby, instantly pointing her in the right direction.

She recognized the scene right away.

Without hesitation, Saki dashed toward it. When she arrived, she saw Hanami hovering in the air, controlling the tree roots as they chased after three students.

Of course it was this guy.

She immediately leapt up like a cannonball and shot toward them. Hanami didn't even have time to react before she slammed them into the ground with a punch.

Boom—an explosive crash. The ground split open into a ridiculously deep crater.

Dust filled the air. Hanami lay at the bottom of the pit. They couldn't see who hit them, but that familiar fist told them everything they needed to know.

"S-Sukuna's vessel? What are you doing here?" they asked, stunned.

Saki stepped on their chest and scolded them, clearly annoyed, "What do you mean 'Sukuna's vessel'? That's a rude way to call someone."

Hanami tried to get up and fight back—but couldn't move at all.

The students who'd been running for their lives saw someone coming to help and cautiously approached the crater, only to see a girl pinning a special grade cursed spirit down with one foot like it was nothing.

Everyone: Is this even allowed?

Of the three students, only Fushiguro recognized Saki. The boy instinctively called out, "Kiki?"

"Fushiguro, you guys okay?" Saki looked up, smiling as she waved at the three of them. Then she gave a quick and clear explanation, "Mr. Gojo's stuck outside, so he sent me in to protect you."

"Stay put, I'll get you all out of here in a bit."

"Oh yeah—anyone got a cursed tool? Lend me one real quick. I didn't bring Playful Cloud with me."

Fushiguro's body reacted faster than his brain. Without a second thought, he tossed his cursed tool toward her.

Hanami sensed something was off and reacted instantly—they controlled the ground to sprout tree branches that snatched the falling cursed tool midair, then lashed out toward Fushiguro.

At the same time, more branches burst from the ground, grabbing all three students by the ankles.

They remembered Kenjaku's warning well:

—If you run into Saki or Gojo Satoru, your only chance to survive is to run immediately. If you can't run, then attack someone else to force them to rescue.

Just as expected, Saki chose to save the students first.

She was fast—faster than anyone could blink. In a flash, she was beside Fushiguro, grabbed the blade of the cursed tool barehanded, and used it to slash through the branches in a single motion.

Worried that Hanami might take the chance to escape—and thinking jujutsu sorcerers were tougher than regular people—she simply grabbed Fushiguro and threw him far away. Then she did the same to Kamo and Inumaki.

After throwing the three of them out, she turned back to settle the score with Hanami—only to see him already wrapped in twisting wooden strips, like a flower bud, and then suddenly sink into the ground.

Huh? You can do that?

Saki was a little surprised, but she reacted fast and punched the ground hard. This one packed even more power than before—the whole area collapsed instantly, revealing a tunnel hidden deep underground.

Without hesitation, she jumped down and gave chase.

The underground tunnels were a maze. She couldn't sense curses, and Hanami was already good at hiding and running, so she quickly lost track of him.

"Sukuna, let's make a deal—help me this once, and I'll do one thing for you in return," Saki said, having no other choice but to ask Sukuna again. This time, she even offered something in return.
