The King of Curses Can't Stop Me from Becoming an Idol Ch. 65

It wasn't even that complicated.

Back when Jujutsu High got invaded by curses, Death Paintings 1 through 3 had been taken by Jogo, and all three were then incarnated.

The three brothers—Choso, Eso, and Kechizu—had unusual appearances that made them unfit to live among normal humans, so Choso chose to side with the curses and help them out.

Who would've thought—before even completing their very first mission, Eso and Kechizu had already run into disaster. All they were supposed to do was recover Ryomen Sukuna's fingers... and they ended up running into Saki.

Choso sensed something had happened to his brothers. They weren't dead yet, but clearly in danger. So, to save them, he made the snap decision to betray the curses. Risking his life, he managed to steal the fingers Ryomen Sukuna had in Kenjaku's possession and escaped—his goal was to trade the fingers for his brothers' lives.

"As long as my brothers can live, I'm willing to do anything," Choso said earnestly, making his vow.

Saki, hearing his explanation, was deeply moved.

Then she immediately called Gojo—fully prepared to dump the problem on him.

Touched or not, she didn't have time to deal with this mess.

"Your brothers are already at Jujutsu High. If you want to save them, you'll have to negotiate with Mr. Gojo," she said bluntly.

Choso didn't protest. He silently accepted her decision.

He already knew they were being held at the school. The only reason he came to her was because he figured if he went straight to Jujutsu High, he'd be exorcised on the spot. He needed her as a middleman.

Gojo Satoru, well aware that Saki had no patience for dealing with people like this, immediately sent someone to pick Choso up after hearing what happened.

Since Choso came willingly, he didn't need an escort.

Saki figured that would be the end of it and finally turned her focus to preparing for the concert. After all, only three of the Death Paintings had been incarnated, and now all three were in custody.

But of course—what you fear most always finds you.

Three days later, Gojo returned from his business trip with a huge stack of souvenirs... and with him was Choso, the guy who'd just been taken away.

"Kiki-chan," Gojo said with a straight face, "I've been thinking—someone like you, a top-tier idol, having just one assistant isn't enough. How about adding one more?"

"Mr. Gojo... what's the reason this time? Did you guys make some kind of deal again?" Saki asked, already exhausted.

"Not exactly," Gojo said with a bright smile. "It just felt like a waste to hand him over."

In order to save his brothers, Choso had offered to make a Binding Vow swearing eternal loyalty to the jujutsu higher-ups, pledging to follow their every order.

Gojo took one look and thought—nah. No way he was handing over free labor like that to those higher-ups. If someone was gonna benefit, it might as well be Saki.

After all, with her strength, the higher-ups wouldn't dare object, and he'd also get to use these guys for free on the side.

"Also, you don't even have to pay him," he added cheerfully. "You can order him around however you like."

Saki: "..."

"As for where they'll live, don't worry—I'm buying the floor below mine. The three brothers can stay there."

"Eso and Kechizu are too ugly to be seen in public, so just keep them at home doing chores or whatever."

"Choso looks human enough. You can hand off any errands to him."

Gojo Satoru had it all planned out.

He used to just straight-up exorcise anything that wasn't human, no questions asked. But ever since being "inspired" by Saki, he'd realized these guys were actually super convenient once you got them to obey.

So now, instead of killing them... he was keeping them.

Saki thought about it and realized she didn't really have a reason to say no, so she agreed. "Alright, let him stay."

Free labor? No way she was passing that up.

"Great, it's settled then. Choso will stay with you for now," Gojo said, getting up to leave. "I'll send Eso and Kechizu over later too."

Just then, Mahito—who'd been silently eavesdropping the whole time—suddenly spoke up, "Can I move in with Choso and the others?"

Compared to living with Gojo Satoru—the terrifying guy who bossed him around nonstop—he'd much rather stay with the three brothers.

"What? Mahito, you don't want to live with me?" Gojo gasped, putting on an exaggeratedly wounded expression. "I thought we were best friends!"

Mahito: "..."

What kind of nonsense are you even saying?

Two days later, the three Death Painting brothers officially moved into the apartment.

Saki introduced them to her brother that very day, just in case he accidentally killed one of them without knowing who they were.

As usual, Saitama took it surprisingly well. He didn't care at all about Eso and Kechizu's non-human appearance—he even curiously asked if both of their mouths could eat.

Eso: "......"

Kechizu: "......"

Even though Eso looked mostly normal from the front, he had a face on his back. Kechizu, on the other hand, had two faces stuck together. Both of them had two mouths.

Now that she had three free laborers at her disposal, Saki worried that an uneven workload might stir up drama, so she split up their responsibilities.

Uraume's main job was to take care of her daily life—cooking, cleaning, that kind of thing. After all, their cooking was seriously amazing, and they were super meticulous.

Choso was assigned to manage and plan her schedule, and act as the go-between with her agent.

Eso was going to be her driver. She planned to have him get a license soon. As long as he dressed up properly, no one would be able to tell he wasn't human anyway.

As for Kechizu, his job was to stay home and guard the house. He wasn't the brightest, but he looked scary—perfect for home security.

Mahito's role was still her personal doctor, but since he volunteered, he also picked up the job of gardener and was now in charge of looking after Hanami.

On the surface, he had the most freedom and chill workload—and technically the highest status—if you ignored the part where he returned to Gojo Satoru's house every night just to be bossed around like a servant.

Everyone was cool with their assigned jobs, and Saki was very satisfied with her distribution of labor.

Everyone was living up to their full potential!

...

The concert date was set—October 10th, just half a month away—and tickets were already on sale.
