The King of Curses Can't Stop Me from Becoming an Idol Ch. 76

Gojo choked, but didn't deny it. If Sukuna took over her body, chances were high he really wouldn't be able to win—at best, he could protect himself.

Based on the strength the girl had already shown, if he didn't use his technique defensively, he couldn't take a single hit from her head-on. And Sukuna definitely had ways to break through his so-called untouchable body surface.

He even had this gut feeling that, with the girl's physical toughness, she might actually be able to take a hit from his Hollow Technique: Purple head-on.

"And there's your brother too," he said helplessly.

"That won't work." Saki shook her head. "If I fought my brother, the damage would be huge."

It wouldn't just be serious damage—there was a good chance Earth itself wouldn't make it out in one piece.

"That's the worst-case scenario. We just have to fix things between you and Sukuna before it gets to that point," Gojo said, making a promise. "I'll find a third cursed tool that can nullify techniques."

"A third one? What about the first two? Can't we use those?" Saki asked, curious.

Gojo suspiciously went quiet for a few seconds, then cleared his throat and explained, "They were both destroyed."

The Inverted Spear of Heaven, which could forcibly cancel any technique, had been destroyed by him eleven years ago. The Black Rope, which could disrupt all cursed technique effects, had been destroyed by him just last year.

"Ugh, who the hell did that? What a jerk," Saki grumbled in frustration.

Gojo: "..."

"Anyway, judging by your current state, you're not gonna be affected too much in the short term. I'll figure something out soon," Gojo changed the subject. "What about Sukuna? Did he say he has no idea what to do either?"

"Sukuna's not even stressed. He's still planning to gamble on it." Just saying that pissed Saki off.

Gojo frowned slightly. That didn't really sound like something Sukuna would do. After thinking about it for a second, he suggested, "Kiki-chan, let Sukuna out. I want to have a word with him."

Gojo wanted to talk to Sukuna, see if they could work together to solve the current problem. Putting himself in Sukuna's shoes, he figured there was no way the guy wanted to be mentally linked with Saki.

With how bizarre the girl's thought process was and how ridiculously stubborn she could be, it was hard to tell who'd end up influencing who more.

But when he brought up the idea of talking, Sukuna shot it down.

The guy gave just one word: "Scram."

Of course, Saki didn't pass along such a rude reply word for word. She just politely said Sukuna wasn't interested.

Seeing that, Gojo pretty much confirmed what he had suspected all along.

—Ryomen Sukuna had his own way of dealing with this. Or rather, he had a backup plan.

"Sukuna, you've got a solution, don't you?" He phrased it like a question, but the certainty in his voice said otherwise.

"What? Sukuna has a solution? What is it?" Saki was stunned.

"You gotta ask him," Gojo shrugged. "Look how calm he is. I'm ninety percent sure he already has something figured out. There's no way he actually plans on gambling everything on you."

"Sukuna, if you've got a plan and you're keeping it to yourself, spill it. Now," Saki demanded, clearly annoyed.

Sukuna couldn't be bothered to respond.

But Saki knew his bad attitude all too well. She immediately threatened, "If you don't tell me, I'll bug you in the Inner Domain every single day."

Sukuna: "..."

"I have a way to switch bodies," Sukuna gave in without hesitation for the sake of peace and quiet.

Saki went quiet for a few seconds after getting the answer. Then she suddenly got upset again. "Am I that annoying? You giving in so fast every time kinda makes me lose face, you know."

Sukuna: "..."

"Don't push it," he warned, finally fed up.

Even though Gojo could only hear Saki's side of the conversation, he could still piece things together. He chuckled and reminded her, half amused and half exasperated, "Kiki-chan, how about you ask the important stuff first?"

Only then did Saki stop complaining and get back on track. "What do you mean by switching bodies?"

"Itadori Yuji," Sukuna said the boy's name calmly.

Saki froze for a second, then remembered something Sukuna had said a long time ago.

—If the me inside your body dies, I'll reincarnate in that brat Itadori Yuji.

"You're planning to off yourself and reincarnate in Yuji's body?" she asked in shock.

"Are you stupid? I've got the power of eighteen fingers in your body right now. How the hell would I kill myself?" Sukuna snapped, clearly annoyed.

"I'm not stupid. But if you're not killing yourself, do you seriously think I'd just agree to let you jump into Yuji's body?" Saki wasn't the type to bend her principles on something like this.

"You can ask the others if they'd agree," Sukuna said calmly.

"Don't even think about it," Saki snapped, instantly shutting him down.

"Kiki-chan, Sukuna has a way to transfer himself into Yuji?" Gojo Satoru frowned and asked her for confirmation.

Before Saki could answer, a mouth suddenly popped out on the back of her hand. Sukuna grinned as he spoke, "Gojo Satoru, how about you make the call?"

His grin was full of malice. "Should I merge souls with this little brat, or should I just take over your student's body?"

Gojo's face darkened a bit. After a moment of thought, he reminded him, "Honestly, for us, instead of helping you transfer into Yuji, it'd be way smarter to just kill you and let you reincarnate in him."

"That way, Yuji would only have the power of one finger at most. He might be able to suppress you."

"Let the brat try, then," Sukuna replied indifferently. "It'd be the perfect chance to see how strong the curse binding our souls really is."

That clearly meant if he died, Saki might die too.

He wasn't actually sure if that would happen, but he was confident Kenjaku had taken it into account and set up precautions.

Gojo rubbed his temples, genuinely starting to feel stuck between a rock and a hard place.

"Don't even think about it," Saki repeated firmly. "Can't you just pick some random body? What if we find one that just died?"

"You think anyone can be my vessel?" Sukuna looked speechless.

"You're lucky to even get a body, and you're still being picky?" Saki scolded him.
